Clear-Com’s FreeSpeak Edge is now shipping

 

Freespeak Edge, the latest addition to Clear-Com’s industry leading FreeSpeak family of digital wireless intercom is now shipping.

FreeSpeak Edge is a multi-channel duplex digital wireless intercom system. When deployed with an Eclipse HX matrix frame with E-IPA-HX cards, customers can leverage an extremely high-density wireless solution. It uses the wide 5 GHz band and takes advantage of reflections to provide higher performance in the field where multi-path might affect other solutions.

The wide bandwidths enable very low latency and best in class 12 kHz audio quality. It delivers the best audio quality and enhanced performance in some of the most challenging live performance environments including sports stadiums, live venues, and broadcast facilities. The system also gives users more control and configuration options, thanks to advanced frequency coordination capabilities and intuitive design features in the system’s transceivers and beltpacks.

The battle of wireless comms supremacy has raged over the last few years and in doing so it is allowing for some incredible wireless technical development. FreeSpeak Edge shows Clear-Com at the top of their game. Freespeak Edge is AES67 based, supporting 64 Transceivers and Belt Packs on the same E-IPA card. The real test of a wireless system is its audio quality in a challenging RF environment. Freespeak Edge in this regard sounds incredible, at 12kHz and low latency, it’s a joy to use.
