Due to continued expansion Tyrell are looking to recruit two full-time Sales Account Managers to be based in our London office.

The primary responsibility of these roles is to sell the brands represented by Tyrell to direct accounts in the Broadcast, Corporate, Theatre and Post Production verticals. The account managers will develop new business from existing clients as well as actively seek new sales opportunities.

We are looking for high achieving, results driven candidates, who have experience of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years channel experience and understand the importance of creating long-term, trusting relationships with clients.

How Did You Become Interested in Technology?

I have been interested in technology for as long as I can remember, one of my childhood hobbies was opening up old electronics to see what was inside. Back in 1995 I can remember my parents getting a PC – I used to spend hours discovering how Windows 95 actually worked.

Usually, the end user would contact us directly – sometimes as a result of a recommendation or maybe a call from sales or support. If the contact comes from Sales Support, we would call the end user and arrange a site visit. This serves three purposes first it give us the chance to introduce ourselves, and second it give us the chance to have a look around the client’s location.

Video Project Sharing

So this week I had 3 editors raise questions about project sharing, all of them using shared storage so it made sense for them to want to share their projects too.

Shared storage is something that is almost taken for granted now that it’s so common and with shared storage there is also the possibility to share projects… sometimes.

On a recent install there was a cross over between myself and the editors working on a feature, and they were trying to decide the best way to organise the project.

There were many reasons why I re-joined Tyrell in the spring of 2017, not least of which was the challenge of assembling a new support offering that could rival that of our competition, I’ll admit that when I first decided to make the leap I was genuinely concerned.
