SurroundControl 31960 Series
A Surround Monitoring Controller combined with RTW’s Surround Sound Analyzer in a compact rackmount package for video studios
SurroundControl is our flagship product line for controlling, analyzing and monitoring stereo, surround sound and multichannel programs. It combines the metering functions of the RTW surround display devices and the control functions of an eight-channel monitoring controller – a true high performance system.
Loudness measurements of version 4 follow all relevant loudness standards: EBU R128, ITU-R BS.1770-3/1771, ATSC A/85 and ARIB. Therefore, extensive functions are available. For example, the LRA instrument combines the measurement and visualization of two critical loudness parameters (program loudness, loudness variances within short time periods) in a straightforward and intuitive way.
Touch Monitor TM9
The graphical user interface used in the TouchMonitor TM9 is controlled simply by using your finger or a mouse. Instruments can be scaled, randomly positioned and combined in almost every way for optimized use of available screen space. Even multiple instruments of the same type, assigned to different input channels and configurations, can be displayed simultaneously. Plus, a context-sensitive, on-screen help feature supports the user, allowing him to make setup changes with ease.
A major enhancement is the possibility to measure and to display signals of the 7.1 DD+ surround format. Beside the display with classic PPM instrument, the signal is available for loudness measurements according to all relevant loudness standards. In addition, RTW’s Surround Sound Analyser has been expanded to display the balance and the subjective impression of the 7.1 DD+ format at a glance in a very clear graphical overview.
