Due to continued expansion Tyrell are looking to recruit two full-time Sales Account Managers to be based in our London office.
The primary responsibility of these roles is to sell the brands represented by Tyrell to direct accounts in the Broadcast, Corporate, Theatre and Post Production verticals. The account managers will develop new business from existing clients as well as actively seek new sales opportunities.
We are looking for high achieving, results driven candidates, who have experience of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years channel experience and understand the importance of creating long-term, trusting relationships with clients.
From broadcast, on demand, and OTT, to video streaming, social media, and mobile apps, media organisations are under pressure to create more content for these platforms to survive and thrive in today’s digital domain. Avid NEXIS takes the stress and complexity out of even the most demanding production pipelines, enabling your team to share media and complete projects faster, together.
From now until 17th December, 2018, you can get greater performance, protection, capacity, and savings when you trade in your old Avid ISIS or third-party storage system* towards a more powerful and reliable Avid NEXIS shared storage or nearline solution.
London – October 18, 2018 – Tyrell, the leading broadcast and professional video and audio solutions provider in the United Kingdom and Ireland, today announced the appointment of Lynn Keegan to Chief Operating Officer. Lynn’s appointment reflects Tyrell’s continued investment in the quality of customer experience.
In her new position, Lynn will oversee all customer-facing departments including Customer Support, Professional Services and Operations as well as Technology and Innovation for Tyrell. This role includes responsibility for customer success-focused activities as well as driving operational excellence across the organisation.
Our Technical Support Team has a combined experience of over 200 years, and we also like to talk so don’t be surprised if we call just to see how you are – you never know when this might unearth that nugget of information that you have been looking for.
Evaluating the team I found that the foundations were firmly laid down in the world of facilities. We all know what it is to work to tight deadlines and delivery schedules, we all know how to juggle limited editing suites and moreover we all know what it takes to deliver support in what seems like an unachievable situation. When I sought to add to the team I wanted to keep this ethos, therefore it made sense to go looking within facilities rather than to train up someone who didn’t know the industry.
MATCHROOM Sport owns, manages and promotes sporting events, and are one of the world’s largest suppliers of sports programming; supplying virtually every major broadcaster of sports in the world.
Tyrell has been supplying technology to Matchroom since 2010. Our involvement first started in the world of shared storage and collaborative editing. Following that Matchroom then added a basic archiving system, allowing them to begin backing-up their valuable sporting library.
BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS OF TIME & DISTANCE
Since then the companies requirements have evolved, and their working practices mean that Asset Management is now an essential workflow element, not only for cataloguing, but also the future retrieval of Matchroom’s valuable programmes.
Michael Martin is a Technical Support Engineer who joined Tyrell from BBC Northern Ireland one year ago, we asked him some questions about his background, interests, etc.
How Did You Become Interested in Technology?
I have been interested in technology for as long as I can remember, one of my childhood hobbies was opening up old electronics to see what was inside. Back in 1995 I can remember my parents getting a PC – I used to spend hours discovering how Windows 95 actually worked.
Tyrell are happy to announce that we will continue to support Yellowmoon Post Production for the foreseeable future.
During our long term relationship with Yellowmoon the post-production facility has added an illustrious series of titles to their portfolio of work, including Game of Thrones, Line of Duty, The Fall, and Derry Girls.
Yellowmoon is a state-of-the-art Avid based facility, located in Holywood, N.Ireland.
We asked Adam Lewiston, our Pre-Sales Support Manager to describe how customers are welcomed to the Tyrell Support, and what they can expect from our service.
Usually, the end user would contact us directly – sometimes as a result of a recommendation or maybe a call from sales or support. If the contact comes from Sales Support, we would call the end user and arrange a site visit. This serves three purposes first it give us the chance to introduce ourselves, and second it give us the chance to have a look around the client’s location.
So this week I had 3 editors raise questions about project sharing, all of them using shared storage so it made sense for them to want to share their projects too.
Shared storage is something that is almost taken for granted now that it’s so common and with shared storage there is also the possibility to share projects… sometimes.
